About Net70

Net70 is an independent publication about the internet: how it works, why it sometimes doesn't, and how ordinary people can use it more safely and efficiently. We started it because most explanations online are either too shallow to be useful or so technical that they assume you already know the answer.

What we cover

Our guides focus on everyday topics: DNS and browsing speed, home Wi-Fi, passwords and two-factor authentication, phishing, VPNs, and the infrastructure that keeps websites fast. Each article is written to be read start to finish by a non-specialist and then actually used.

How we write

We explain the underlying mechanism first, then give concrete steps. We avoid hype, we say plainly when something has limits, and we do not recommend a product just because it pays a commission. If a guide contains a mistake, we correct it and update the page.
